Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
As a General Production Worker, you will follow work instructions to operate all parts of the automated conveyor line and testing equipment to build and assemble quality pumps for customers. You will learn how to gauge products, move materials and parts within the cell work area, and replenish stock. Maintaining production, quality, and equipment documentation is essential, as well as understanding quality alerts and reporting issues to the team lead.
Responsibilities
- Operate all parts of the automated conveyor line and testing equipment.
- Learn and apply gauging techniques as required.
- Move materials and parts within the cell work area and replenish stock.
- Maintain production, quality, and equipment documentation.
- Understand quality alerts and report issues to the team lead.
- Repair defective or rejected production parts daily.
- Analyze defects and assist with corrective action programs.
Essential Skills
- Manufacturing knowledge with a recent role as a production worker, operator, or assembler for a total of 2 years.
- Good tenure at each position.
- Assembly experience in manufacturing.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs to physically lift and stack pumps for shipping.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Gauge experience is a nice-to-have.

Work Environment
The new plant is moving into Warren from Oklahoma and works with major automotive companies including Ford, GM, Tesla, and FCA. As a global automotive supplier of pump, valvetrain, transmission, and electric drive components and systems, the plant has been renovated and will house various machines including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. The work environment includes an 8-hour shift schedule with three shifts and a 10-hour shift schedule with two shifts. Safety is prioritized with provided safety gear, and employees are encouraged to engage with the provided benefits and programs.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.
