Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
This role supports multiple manufacturing sites by maintaining more than 60 injection mold presses and related equipment. You will perform proactive and reactive maintenance to keep production running efficiently, with a strong focus on troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The position involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and completing preventative maintenance to ensure safe, reliable, and continuous operation of all machinery and facility systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair more than 60 injection mold presses across multiple manufacturing buildings.
- Proactively inspect machines and equipment to identify potential issues before they cause downtime.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production and facility equipment.
- Repair and replace valves, motors, and components in hydraulic and pneumatic systems to restore proper operation.
- Work with 3-phase electrical systems, including diagnosing faults and performing safe, code-compliant repairs.
- Replace circuit breakers, motors, and other electrical components as needed to maintain equipment reliability.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on injection molding equipment and facility systems according to established schedules.
- Troubleshoot and support PLC-controlled equipment, including identifying control issues and assisting with basic PLC diagnostics.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings to perform accurate repairs and installations.
- Support facility maintenance activities, including HVAC and other building systems, to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used to support accurate maintenance records and planning.
- Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work and minimize equipment downtime.
- Travel between nearby campuses as needed to support maintenance needs across all assigned buildings.
Essential Skills
- Injection mold maintenance experience, specifically working with injection mold presses and related equipment (required).
- At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (required).
- Hands-on experience with at least three of the following: PLC troubleshooting, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics (required).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings (required).
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience with 3-phase electrical systems.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems, including valves and related components.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing pneumatic systems used in industrial equipment.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- General facility maintenance experience, including familiarity with HVAC systems.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment commonly used in industrial maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to resolve equipment issues.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with production staff and maintenance teammates.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting PLC-controlled equipment.
- Experience in maintenance within a multi-building or multi-campus manufacturing environment.
- Comfort working with a variety of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple maintenance tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Attention to detail when documenting maintenance work and following preventative maintenance schedules.

Work Environment

You will work around injection mold presses, facility systems, and HVAC equipment, using company-provided tools and standard industrial maintenance equipment. The environment is a production setting where you move between buildings as needed to support equipment uptime and facility reliability.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $76960.00/yr.
