Job Description
The Medical Assembler plays a key role in inspecting, counting, and packaging small medical device components in a highly controlled production environment. This position focuses on accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks and supporting both assembly and packaging activities as needed.
Responsibilities
- Inspect medical device components for quality and defects before packaging.
- Sort and process approximately 2,500 small components per shift with consistent accuracy.
- Use tweezers to handle very small parts and place them individually into packaging while counting and verifying quantities.
- Package components for shipment according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Perform repetitive assembly and packaging tasks while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
- Document work performed accurately, including counts, inspections, and any required production records, in line with medical facility standards.
- Support assembly operations as needed and be willing to assist in various production tasks.
- Remain open to learning and potentially running machines on the production floor after training.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all facility cleanliness and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members and follow written and verbal instructions.
- At least 6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Willingness to perform assembly tasks and support different areas of production as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy with high-volume, repetitive work.
- Comfort working with very small components and using tools such as tweezers for extended periods.
- Ability to focus on repetitive tasks for long periods while maintaining quality standards.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and strong reading comprehension.
- Ability to accurately document work performed in a regulated medical production environment.
- Reliable work history and a positive, cooperative attitude.
- At least 6 months of assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Comfort looking through a microscope for long periods, even though microscope use is not required.
- Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple production and assembly processes over time.
- Ability to learn basic machine operation on the production floor.

Work Environment
This role is based in an extremely clean, controlled medical production facility. The work involves repetitive assembly, inspection, and packaging tasks in a structured production environment. You will handle very small components, often using tweezers and potentially working with microscopes for extended periods. The position requires comfort with repetitive work, standing or sitting at a workstation, and maintaining a high level of focus throughout the shift. New team members typically start in assembly and packaging for training and, upon being hired on, receive cross-training in additional production areas. The facility operates with strict cleanliness and documentation standards consistent with medical manufacturing.

This is a Contract position based out of Brooklyn Park, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
