Job Title: IPS Engineer
Job Description
The Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the ILS Team, which includes engineers, technical writers, technical artists, managers, and directors. The role involves sustaining systems throughout their life cycle and preparing information for ILS Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) documents for government submission.
Responsibilities
- Organize Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) data in a content management database, ensuring compliance with CM processes.
- Assume ownership and management of ILS provisioning and component information for downstream reporting.
- Provide technical input and act as an engineering liaison within the ILS Team.
- Prepare and ensure timely processing of ILS CDRLs.
- Support the ILS Manager with administrative duties, such as preparing presentations and attending meetings.
- Serve as a technical expert within ILS for technical writers and artists creating Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals.
- Manage project metrics and provide provisioning support for Lowest Replaceable Unit (LRU) data.
- Lead the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Provide subject matter expertise in supportability analysis and considerations, including reliability and maintenance.
- Participate in the systems engineering process to enhance design supportability.
- Analyze, organize, and administer provisioning, spares, and maintenance activities.
- Participate in Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis and provisioning conferences.
- Provide technical and programmatic support for DMSMS and Obsolescence Management.
- Develop and review supportability analysis, including MTBF and MTTR, for CDRL submission.
- Develop and review safety analyses, including System Safety Hazard Analysis Reports (SSHARs).
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to obtain or possess security clearance.
- Experience in a related technical field or equivalent experience in engineering, science, or a related academic field.
- Minimum of 6 months job-related experience, preferably in DoD.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, blueprint reading, and ERP systems.
- Quality assurance, product safety, and reliability engineering expertise.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with logistics and quality systems.
- Interest in tinkering, taking things apart, and understanding functionality.
- Familiarity with failure rates and level of repair analysis.
- Experience in traditional reliability analysis.
Work Environment
This position is based in an office setting and involves cross-functional collaboration. The role operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring onsite presence during busy periods and offering remote work flexibility when activity levels are lower.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Burnsville, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $45.00/hr.
