Job Title: Shift Machine Operator
Job Description
Join a high-performing Reagent Small Vial Value Stream team where you will formulate, fill, test, and package chemical and biological reagent products in a regulated manufacturing environment. You will operate and troubleshoot production equipment, follow detailed procedures and quality standards, and contribute to continuous improvement in a clean, climate-controlled facility.
Responsibilities
- Follow established work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and FDA/ISO requirements in English to ensure consistent and compliant production.
- Independently perform formulation, filling, testing, and packaging of chemical and biological reagent products.
- Set up, operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot reagent components, filling equipment, and related instruments.
- Conduct solution testing, including pH, conductivity, and density measurements, to verify that products meet required specifications.
- Ensure compliance with Quality System Regulation (QSR), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO standards throughout all production activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve product quality and process efficiency.
- Recommend and support implementation of process improvements to enhance throughput, quality, and safety.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation, including production records, Device History Records, and other Good Documentation Practices.
- Train new team members on procedures, equipment operation, and quality standards as needed.
- Adhere to all safety, cleanliness, and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform cleaning, labeling, packing, and other line production activities as required.
- Support cross-training efforts and perform other related duties as assigned to meet production goals.
Essential Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with machine operation, such as bottle filling, packaging, or production line equipment.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Device History Records.
- Ability to read and write in English and follow documented procedures and work instructions.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs as part of routine job duties.
- Ability to stand at a workstation for extended periods and walk as needed throughout the shift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with filling machines, packaging lines, and line production processes.
- Comfort with operating and troubleshooting production machinery in a regulated environment.
- Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices and accurate record-keeping.
- Experience in environments similar to federal packaging operations, including pulling product, cleaning, labeling, and packing.
- Strong attention to detail and quality, with the ability to follow precise instructions.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, goal-driven setting.
- Willingness to learn new processes and participate in cross-training across different production tasks.

Work Environment
This role is based in a regulated manufacturing environment with clean, climate-controlled, and well-lit work areas. The position involves approximately 80% standing at a workstation and 20% walking throughout the production area. You will work with production machinery, filling and packaging lines, and testing equipment while following strict quality and safety standards. Personal protective equipment is required and includes a smock, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hairnet, and beard net as applicable. The environment emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and adherence to documented procedures and regulatory requirements.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
