Mechanical Assembler $21-23/hr
Job Summary
Join a growing team that builds large, custom water purification systems used in industries such as mining, nuclear energy, sports stadiums, and large commercial facilities. This is a project-based, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll work in a clean, air‑conditioned production environment alongside a collaborative and experienced team.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials, dimensions, and assembly requirements
- Assemble components using bolts, screws, adhesives, and other fastening methods
- Fabricate systems according to specifications, drawings, and verbal instructions
- Measure, cut, and install plumbing materials including PVC, stainless steel, copper, or galvanized pipe
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic machines required for assembly
- Test-fit components and verify proper functionality of assembled systems
- Secure custom-built systems onto custom frames
- Assist with preparing equipment for shipment
- Receive materials and organize parts and inventory according to procedures
- Participate in cross-training to support other production areas as needed
Required Skills & Experience
- 6 months to 1+ year experience using a tape measure (inches and centimeters)
- Experience with hand and power tools (drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
- At least 6 months of mechanical assembly or construction experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working from drawings and detailed instructions

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chaska, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
