Job Title: Mechanical Assembler - Weekly Pay - $25/hr - 2nd Shift - M-Th 3:30pm-2:00am - 50 HOUR WEEKS
Job Description
Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler where you will contribute to the assembly of tables, desks, and chairs specifically designed for schools. Our organization is renowned for manufacturing high-quality school equipment, including large cafeteria tables for elementary and secondary institutions. This role offers a dynamic work schedule on the 2nd Shift from 3:30pm to 2:00am, Monday to Thursday, with training provided on the 1st shift. The position also includes opportunities for overtime during the Spring and Summer.
Responsibilities
- Assemble school furniture including tables, desks, and chairs.
- Utilize a power drill, tape measure, and screwdriver for assembly tasks.
- Drill and attach hinges, legs, and arms to furniture.
- Read blueprints and work on an assembly line.
- Handle general labor tasks associated with mechanical assembly.
Essential Skills
- Strong mechanical inclination.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, power drills, rivet guns, sockets, and wrenches.
- Stable work history.
- Must pass a tape measure and skills test.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in mechanical assembly and packaging.
- General labor experience is beneficial.

Work Environment
The work environment can be very hot in the summer, with temperatures reaching 80-90 degrees. Candidates must be comfortable working long hours in these conditions. The facility is equipped with modern tools to facilitate the assembly process.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edina, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
