Job Title: Facilities Technician
1st shift - $25-$30
Job Description
The Facilities Technician supports day-to-day operations by performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping tasks across the facility. This role focuses on basic handyman work, building and equipment upkeep, and coordination of external vendors, while helping maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic handyman and general grounds maintenance duties to keep the facility and surrounding areas in good condition.
- Carry out basic plumbing tasks, including minor repairs and maintenance on facility plumbing systems.
- Perform basic electrical work, such as troubleshooting simple issues and assisting with minor repairs.
- Handle painting projects to maintain and improve the appearance of interior and exterior surfaces.
- Schedule repairs with outside vendors and coordinate service appointments for facility and equipment needs.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment, including forklifts, air compressors, and other machinery, to determine repair needs for outside service providers.
- Operate forklifts, company trucks, and other facility-related equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Perform cleaning, sweeping, and janitorial tasks for the shop, offices, and grounds to maintain a tidy and safe work environment.
- Maintain facility structures and building systems, ensuring that the shop, offices, and grounds remain functional and in good repair.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on equipment, building systems, automotive components, tools, and related assets as needed.
- Use power tools and basic mechanical tools to perform maintenance, repair, and building upkeep tasks.
- Assist with preventive maintenance activities to reduce equipment downtime and extend the life of facility assets.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience in facilities maintenance and building maintenance.
- Ability to perform basic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to perform basic electrical troubleshooting and minor electrical work.
- Experience with mechanical maintenance and repair on equipment and tools.
- Proficiency in general maintenance repair tasks, including carpentry and painting.
- Experience with janitorial and cleaning duties in a shop or facility environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot facility and equipment issues and determine appropriate repair actions.
- Comfort operating forklifts, company trucks, and other facility equipment in a safe manner.
- Ability to use power tools and hand tools for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Experience with preventive maintenance practices for facility and equipment upkeep.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, organized shop equipped with new tools and equipment, providing a safe and efficient workspace. The environment is a blue-collar, hands-on setting where you work with machinery, facility systems, and power tools. The schedule runs on a 1st shift, typically 8–10 hours between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with flexibility to structure your day within that window. The shop emphasizes orderliness and cleanliness, with regular janitorial and groundskeeping tasks contributing to a well-maintained facility.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
