Mechanical Assembler – Build Heavy-Duty Asphalt Equipment (Trucks & Trailers)

If you’re a hands-on mechanical assembler who enjoys building equipment from the ground up—and seeing the finished product roll out the door—this is your opportunity.
We’re looking for skilled builders to assemble truck- and trailer-mounted asphalt equipment. This isn’t repetitive assembly line work—you’ll take ownership of complete builds, working with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to create rugged, high-performance equipment used across the industry.
What You’ll Do
- Build from start to finish – Assemble complete truck and trailer units using detailed prints and procedures
- Hands-on mechanical work – Use hand and power tools to build subassemblies like:
- Engine cabinets
- Control boxes
- Material handling components
- Final assembly – Bring it all together into fully operational, field-ready equipment
- Install major components – Mount 2–4 ton hoppers, install burners (LP & diesel), and integrate heating systems
- Electrical work – Run wiring harnesses, install control systems, and make final connections
- Work across systems – Gain experience with:
- Diesel systems
- Hydraulics & pneumatics
- 12-volt electrical
- Read prints & schematics to ensure precision and quality
- Collaborate with a skilled shop team to keep builds moving and meet production goals
What You Bring
- Strong mechanical aptitude and pride in hands-on work
- Experience assembling trucks, trailers, or heavy equipment (or similar)
- Ability to confidently use hand and power tools
- Comfort reading blueprints and schematics
- Familiarity with electrical basics, hydraulics, or diesel systems
- Attention to detail—you build it right the first time
- A team-oriented attitude and commitment to safety
Bonus if you have:
- Diesel technician experience
- Hydraulic or power transmission knowledge
- Experience with vehicle upfitting or trailer builds
- Background in fabrication or sheet metal shops

This is a Permanent position based out of North Branch, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $27.00/hr.
