The culture emphasizes open communication, customer-driven solutions, and fair, honest practices. You gain experience in a precision metal fabrication environment with exposure to a wide range of processes, from prototyping to long- and short-run production, precision machining, and structural fabrication, providing a strong foundation for your future in manufacturing.
Work Environment
You will work in a large sheet metal manufacturing facility that produces a wide variety of sheet metal products. The department includes 3–4 CNC Strippit machines, and you will work largely independently, handling general production duties around these machines. The shop is not air-conditioned, so temperatures can become hot during the summer months, and you should be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment. The role is on 2nd shift, from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., and involves being on your feet throughout the shift while working with sheet metal, hand tools, and hand grinders in a busy production setting.
