Job Title: Welder
Job Description
Join a growing job-shop environment as a Welder, performing a mix of TIG and MIG welding on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel to produce a wide variety of custom metal parts and display components. You will work from blueprints in a fast-paced setting, contributing to diverse projects and collaborating closely with a skilled fabrication team.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG (approximately 60%) and MIG (approximately 40%) welding on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel components.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications, dimensions, and weld requirements.
- Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment and tools to ensure high-quality welds and consistent output.
- Measure and verify materials using tape measures and other tools to maintain accuracy and adherence to design requirements.
- Work on a variety of projects in a job-shop environment where parts and assignments can change regularly.
- Collaborate with fabrication and production teams to complete jobs efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to safety and company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling of sheet metal and other materials.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating welding and fabrication equipment.
- Adapt to changing priorities and project requirements while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship.
Essential Skills
- 1+ year of experience in TIG or MIG welding in a production or fast-paced welding environment.
- Proficiency in MIG welding on mild steel and other common metals.
- Proficiency in TIG welding, particularly on stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Experience working with sheet metal in a fabrication setting.
- Strong tape measure and basic measurement skills for precise layout and fit-up.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced welding and fabrication role.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and operate welding equipment responsibly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Technical degree or formal training in fabrication or welding.
- Experience with both MIG and TIG welding processes.
- Experience in general metal fabrication and working with updated shop equipment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse, bilingual team.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
