Production Supervisor (Night Shift)
About the Role:
We're seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a team of employees on a rotating 2-2-3 night shift (6 PM to 6 AM). This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and team development while ensuring production goals are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a production team in a manufacturing environment
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Monitor production performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions
- Support employee development through training, feedback, and cross-training
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and other departments to maintain workflow and meet production targets
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste
Qualifications
- 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Experience supervising production teams in an industrial setting
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and lean principles
- Proven commitment to workplace safety
- Experience using ERP systems; SAP preferred
- Strong coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work a rotating 2-2-3 night shift schedule
Preferred Qualifications
- Chemical manufacturing experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with 5S and continuous improvement programs
