Job Title: Assembler

Job Description
The assembler will work with fiber cables, measuring, cutting, and placing them in clips. Following a blueprint or work instruction, the assembler will feed each colored wire through a connector, requiring perfect accuracy in the order of each wire. Once all wires are fed through, the assembler will apply a small drop of epoxy and pull the wires through to complete a coating that covers the entire surface of the wires. The assembly is then placed into a curing device to dry the epoxy coating, undergoes a final polishing stage, and is tested to ensure all connections function properly.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut fiber cables and place them in clips.
- Feed colored wires through connectors following a blueprint.
- Apply epoxy to wires and pull through for complete coating.
- Place assembly in curing device and perform final polishing.
- Test assemblies to ensure all connections work properly.
- Use small hand tools, microscopes, or projection scopes as needed.
Essential Skills
- 6 months to 1+ year of manufacturing experience with small parts or medical device assembly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to accurately see and place colored wires.
- Experience with microscopes or the ability to work under one.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with guidewire, hand tools, and microscope assembly.
- Familiarity with clean room assembly and medical or electronic assembly.

Work Environment
Work in a brand-new, rapidly expanding facility recently renovated to accommodate growth. The clean room environment does not require specialized dress, allowing business casual attire. Assemblers wear smocks over their clothing, with optional gloves and safety glasses provided. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule, Monday to Thursday from 5:00 am to 3:00 pm, with potential overtime on Fridays.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.76/hr.
