Job Description
The assembler will work with fiber cables, measuring, cutting, and placing them into clips. By following blueprints or work instructions, the assembler will precisely feed each colored wire through a connector. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, as each wire must be fed in the correct order. After feeding the wires, the assembler will apply a small drop of epoxy and pull the wires through to form a coating over their surface. The assembly is then placed into a curing device for the epoxy to dry, followed by a final polishing stage and a connection test to ensure proper functionality.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and place fiber cables into clips.
- Follow blueprints or work instructions to feed wires through connectors.
- Apply epoxy coating and ensure it covers the entire wire surface.
- Use small hand tools and microscopes or projection scopes as needed.
- Conduct final polishing and testing of assemblies to ensure proper connections.
Essential Skills
- 6 months to 1+ year of manufacturing experience with small parts or medical device assembly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to distinguish colors accurately for wire placement.
- Experience using or ability to work under a microscope.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with guidewire and medical assembly.
- Familiarity with electronics and blueprint reading.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.76/hr.
