Job Title: Warehouse Worker 1st & 2nd shift
Job Description
The Warehouse Worker operates primarily in cooler and cold storage areas, accurately picking, pulling, and building orders, palletizing products, and loading, unloading, and staging materials for outgoing delivery. This role supports efficient inventory flow by packing and unpacking items, organizing stock in an accessible manner, and maintaining accurate records of stock usage and condition. The position requires regular use of warehouse equipment, including reach trucks and forklifts, as well as computer systems and scanners to ensure orders are processed safely, efficiently, and on time.
Responsibilities
- Pick, pull, and build customer orders accurately and efficiently in cooler and cold storage areas.
- Palletize products and stage materials for outgoing delivery according to established procedures.
- Load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas using appropriate warehouse equipment.
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
- Perform inventory computations by comparing system records to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors as needed.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other designated areas.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to ensure accurate tracking.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Keep detailed records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear, defects, or damage and promptly report any issues to supervisors.
- Provide assistance and direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers to support team productivity and safety.
- Use computers and handheld scanners to track inventory, process orders, and update records in real time.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working around machinery, in cooler environments, and on potentially wet floors.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of warehouse experience, including order selection and order picking.
- At least 1 year of reach truck experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks safely and effectively.
- Comfort working in cooler and cold storage environments, including temperatures as low as approximately 34 degrees.
- Ability to work with computers and scanners to manage inventory and process orders.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail when counting, labeling, and inspecting stock items.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in work and storage areas to meet safety standards.
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and stacking products and pallets.
- Willingness to work assigned shifts, including early morning and evening schedules.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a production worker or in a similar warehouse environment.
- Experience in packing and unpacking items for storage or shipment.
- Familiarity with dry storage and cold storage operations.
- Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers and provide direction to other warehouse staff when needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills for investigating inventory discrepancies and resolving errors.
- Reliability and consistency in following established processes and safety procedures.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, comfortable, and modern warehouse facility with dry storage and cold storage areas, where temperatures can be as low as approximately 34 degrees. The facility includes up-to-date equipment with safety guards around machinery to protect workers. Floors may occasionally be wet due to the rinsing of machines, but they are drained and dried thoroughly to maintain safe working conditions. The position requires comfort working in cooler environments and around active warehouse equipment. Available shifts include 1st Shift from 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with schedules such as Sunday–Wednesday or Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and 2nd Shift from 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. with schedules such as Sunday–Wednesday or Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.47 - $22.47/hr.
