Job Title: Press Brake Operator | 1st shift, 2nd, & weekend shift available!
X1 1st shift: 5am to 3pm Mon -Thurs | Pay: $25-33/hour
X1 2nd shift: 3:15pm to 1:45am Mon- Thurs | Pay: $25-30/hour + $3 shift differential
X3 Weekend shift: Fri, Sat, Sun 5 AM to 5:30 PM |Pay: $25-31/hour + $6 shift differential (only working 36 hours)
Job Description
This role operates Amada press brake machines in a precision sheet metal fabrication environment, producing both long-run and short-run custom projects to tight tolerances. The position works directly from blueprints and GD&T, supports preventative maintenance on fabrication equipment, and contributes to a safe, clean, and highly technical job shop.
Responsibilities
- Operate Amada press brake machines to produce precise custom sheet metal components.
- Work directly from blueprints and apply GD&T practices to set up and run jobs accurately.
- Handle a mix of long-run and short-run production jobs each day, adjusting to varying project requirements.
- Form sheet metal parts with thicknesses ranging from 20 gauge up to 3/8 inch while maintaining specified tolerances.
- Maintain familiarity with and consistently hold tight tolerances in the range of approximately ±0.0001 to ±0.002.
- Perform press brake setups, including selecting tooling, adjusting back gauges, and programming or adjusting machine parameters as needed.
- Assist with preventative maintenance for all fabrication equipment being used to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with team members in the fabrication shop to coordinate workflow and prioritize jobs.
- Handle and move sheet metal materials safely, including lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Follow all shop safety procedures and contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of press brake setup experience, including operating and setting up press brake machines.
- Hands-on experience working with Amada press brake machines or similar CNC press brake equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Practical experience applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) in a production environment.
- Experience working with precision sheet metal fabrication.
- Ability to work with sheet metal thicknesses ranging from 20 gauge up to 3/8 inch.
- Comfort and familiarity with tight tolerances in the range of approximately ±0.0001 to ±0.002.
- Mechanical aptitude, including automotive or car-type mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as required.
- Solid references that demonstrate strong attendance and reliability.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with CNC press brake programming or adjustments.
- General sheet metal fabrication, including working with lasers and other fabrication equipment.
- Exposure to a precision job shop environment with custom, small-batch, and long-run work.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality, accurate parts.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different project types, products, and customer requirements.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $36.00/hr.
