This Field Technician role focuses on supporting high-end residential remodel projects in the West Metro area. You will primarily perform finish carpentry tasks such as installing doors, millwork, and cabinets, while also assisting with light stick framing and demolition as needed. You will begin by working alongside journeyman carpenters, providing hands-on support and gradually taking on more complex carpentry responsibilities as you grow in the role.
Responsibilities- Support journeyman carpenters on high-end remodel projects in the West Metro area.
- Retrieve, organize, and stage materials and tools needed by journeyman carpenters.
- Perform finish carpentry tasks, including installing doors, millwork, trim, and cabinets.
- Assist with demolition work, ensuring safe and efficient removal of existing structures and finishes.
- Carry out light stick framing tasks under direction, including basic structural framing and layout.
- Follow project plans and directions to complete carpentry tasks accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout each project.
- Use hand and power tools appropriately and safely in accordance with company and site guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality workmanship and a smooth project workflow.
- Demonstrate reliability and a long-term commitment to learning and growing within the carpentry trade.
- Hands-on experience in the carpentry or construction industry, particularly in residential remodels.
- Practical knowledge of finish carpentry, including doors, millwork, trim, and cabinet installation.
- Ability to perform light stick framing tasks under the guidance of journeyman carpenters.
- Experience with demolition work and understanding of safe demo practices.
- Familiarity with carpentry tools and equipment, including both hand tools and power tools.
- Capability to follow directions from journeyman carpenters and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic with a desire for a stable, long-term role in the carpentry field.
- Basic understanding of rough carpentry and framing concepts.
- Dependability in showing up on time and completing assigned tasks.
- Previous experience on high-end remodel projects is a plus.
- Exposure to millwork installation and detailed finish work.
- Ability to read or interpret basic construction plans and measurements.
- Willingness to learn advanced carpentry techniques from experienced journeymen.
- Commitment to safety practices on job sites.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Wayzata, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.
