Job Description
This role focuses on safely and efficiently melting and transferring butter to the correct holding tanks while minimizing product loss through proper draining and handling. You contribute directly to smooth production operations by following established procedures, maintaining accurate records, and supporting overall product quality.
Responsibilities
- Properly melt butter according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Accurately transfer melted product to the correct holding tanks, ensuring proper identification and routing.
- Minimize product loss by using correct draining techniques and handling methods.
- Operate production and packaging equipment, including general machinery and material handling tools, as directed.
- Perform general labor and production tasks such as loading, packing, and packaging products.
- Inspect product and materials for quality, identifying issues and reporting or addressing them promptly.
- Assist with troubleshooting basic production or equipment issues and escalate concerns when needed.
- Follow written and verbal directions and carry out instructions consistently and accurately.
- Work effectively as part of a production team, supporting colleagues and maintaining a cooperative work environment.
- Maintain legible and accurate entries for record keeping and production documentation.
- Support cleanliness and organization in the production area in accordance with facility standards.
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational procedures within the production facility.
- Ability to follow directions and carry out instructions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment.
- Ability to legibly write entries for record keeping and documentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to read, write, and speak clearly in order to understand instructions and communicate with team members.
- Comfort with general production work, including machine operation, packaging, and packing tasks.
- Basic understanding of inspection practices to identify product or process issues.
- Willingness to perform general labor duties, including loading and material handling.
- Experience with forklift operation in a production or warehouse setting is beneficial.
- Experience in general production, machine operating, or packaging environments is an advantage.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting basic equipment or process issues is helpful.
- Prior work in food or ingredient processing environments is a plus.

Work Environment
This position is based in a production facility that processes butter and related products. The facility operates at a fast pace, requiring attentiveness to safety procedures and clear communication. Typical attire includes appropriate work clothing suitable for a production floor, along with any required protective equipment in accordance with facility safety standards.

This is a Contract position based out of Winthrop, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
