Job Description
The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative maintenance and repair work on packaging, labeling, filling, and various other production equipment. The role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, performing necessary repair work, and assisting with equipment installation and calibration. The technician will also support maintenance on boilers, chillers, air compressors, and ammonia refrigeration systems while adhering to all safety and GMP procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair work on packaging, labeling, filling, and other production equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and perform necessary repair work.
- Support maintenance on boilers, chillers, air compressors, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Assist with installation, calibration, and startup of new equipment.
- Perform fabrication duties as needed, including welding and manual machining.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and plant policies.
- Adhere to GMPs and all food‑safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities.
- Minimum of 2B boilers license.
- Experience as a maintenance technician in manufacturing, food processing, or industrial environments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to work in cold, wet, and fast‑paced production areas.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
- Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, or on‑call as required.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, or machining is preferred.

Work Environment
The position is based in a milk/dairy processing plant with exposure to refrigerated areas, high humidity, and loud machinery. Dress code and safety gear are required to ensure personal safety and compliance with standards.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $79040.00/yr.
