Job Title: Production Worker
Job Description
The Production Worker operates and supports corrugated production machinery by feeding precut sheets into equipment that prints, scores, perforates, and slots them for forming into boxes, displays, and other products. This role involves consistent lifting, packing, stacking, and assisting machine operators, with opportunities to progress into operating finishing or flexographic printing equipment, including EFI machines that print directly onto boxes.
Responsibilities
- Feed precut corrugated sheets into production machines that print, score, perforate, and slot materials for boxes, displays, and related products.
- Lift, pack, and stack corrugated sheets and finished products throughout the shift to maintain continuous production flow.
- Assist machine operators in the finishing area and flexographic printing area with setup, operation, and basic adjustments.
- Adjust scoring, perforating, and slotting disks or knives in the machine as directed, using hand tools such as wrenches and tape measures.
- Operate or assist in operating EFI printing machines that print directly onto corrugated boxes, following production specifications.
- Monitor machines during operation to identify issues such as jams, misfeeds, or quality defects and promptly report or help resolve them.
- Perform general production tasks, including assembly, packing, and inspection of products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Support basic troubleshooting of production equipment under direction, helping to minimize downtime.
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment as needed to move materials and finished products safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by following housekeeping and safety guidelines.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and keep up with production rates.
- Lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly, up to approximately 360 times per hour, to load machinery and handle materials.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment while working in a loud, non-temperature-controlled facility.
- Work assigned shifts (including first, second, or third shift) and perform overtime as needed to meet production demands.
Essential Skills
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and support operation of production machinery.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- Capability to lift 30 pounds repeatedly, up to approximately 360 times per hour, to load and handle materials safely.
- Experience or comfort with general production, general labor, or assembly work.
- Ability to perform basic machine operation and machine operating tasks.
- Skill in using hand tools such as wrenches and tape measures to make machine adjustments as directed.
- Ability to perform packing, stacking, and packaging tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Attention to detail for inspection of products and identification of defects.
- Willingness and ability to work second or third shift and overtime as needed.
- Comfort working in a loud, non-temperature-controlled, fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in production, general labor, or general production roles.
- Machine operation, machine operating, or packaging environment knowledge.
- Experience with forklift operation or other material handling equipment.
- Exposure to troubleshooting production equipment under supervision.
- Familiarity with flexographic printing, finishing operations, or EFI printing machines is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to a hectic work environment and maintain focus on safety and quality.

Work Environment
The work environment is a loud, non-temperature-controlled production facility where conditions can be fast paced and sometimes hectic. Team members work on first, second, or third shift with typical hours of 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m., or 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., with overtime available as needed throughout the week. The role involves frequent lifting, repetitive motions, and working around large production machinery and printing equipment. Employees should be prepared to follow safety procedures, use appropriate protective equipment, and dress suitably for a manufacturing setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Bridgeton, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.50/hr.
