Job Title: Diesel Truck and Trailer Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Truck and Trailer Mechanic responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of trailers to ensure they are safe and operational. This role requires a strong history in trailer and vehicle maintenance, as well as the ability to work with heavy equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of trailers to identify issues and necessary repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance on trailers, including brake adjustments, tire rotations, and electrical system checks.
- Repair or replace damaged components such as axles, brakes, and suspension systems.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely while performing repairs or moving trailers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair tasks.
Essential Skills
- Experience in diesel and trailer repair.
- Proficiency in brake and electrical system troubleshooting and repair.
- Knowledge of welding, mechanical repair, and preventive maintenance.
- Familiarity with DOT inspections and air brake systems.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools.
- Competence in operating heavy equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with farm machinery and Caterpillar equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with RV trailers is beneficial.
- Some welding experience.
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment
The work environment is dynamic, with a range of shifts available from Monday to Friday, 6 am to midnight. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $47.00/hr.
