Job Title: Commercial HVAC Service Technician
Job Description
This role oversees commercial HVAC service work throughout the Kansas City metro area, primarily supporting small commercial clients, including restaurant chains. The HVAC Service Technician oversees HVAC, electrical, and plumbing tasks, ensuring high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and refrigeration systems in a fast-paced commercial environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day commercial HVAC service activities across the Kansas City metro area.
- Supervise and support HVAC, electrical, and plumbing service technicians on small commercial projects, including restaurant chains.
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial facilities.
- Interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings to plan and complete installations and service work.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, safety regulations, and applicable codes.
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues in commercial environments.
- Organize tools, equipment, and materials required for construction and service tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams regarding project status, issues, and service needs.
- Support general labor tasks related to HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical installation as needed.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in commercial HVAC service work.
- Hands-on experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot HVAC and related systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
- Experience working in commercial environments, including small businesses and restaurant facilities.
- Experience in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing service work.
- Capability to perform construction-related tasks and general labor associated with HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supervising or leading HVAC or service technician teams in a commercial setting.
- Familiarity with a variety of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
- Comfort working with small commercial clients, including restaurant chains.
- Ability to coordinate multiple service calls and tasks across the metro area.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $42.00/hr.
