General Laborer – 2nd Shift
Job Description
The General Laborer is responsible for monitoring a production line, removing unwanted materials, and assisting with clearing machine jams in a recycling facility. This is an entry-level position ideal for candidates looking to gain experience in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the production line and remove unwanted materials.
- Inspect products and materials to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assist in identifying and safely clearing machine jams.
- Follow all safety procedures and operating guidelines.
- Use basic hand tools as needed.
- Support packing, assembly, and packaging activities.
- Assist with material handling and organization.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Work with team members to meet production goals.
Requirements
- Ability to perform general labor tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working in a dirty, hot industrial setting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive work.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in an entry-level role.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous production, assembly, packaging, or warehouse experience.
- Experience working in industrial, recycling, or manufacturing environments.
- Basic familiarity with hand tools.
- Forklift or carpentry experience is a plus but not required.

- 2:30PM - 11:PM
- Monday – Friday

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.50 - $15.95/hr.
