Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
This role operates production machinery to manufacture high-quality products while performing precise measurements and quality checks. The machine operator follows work orders, schematics, and light blueprints, and supports basic troubleshooting to ensure products meet required specifications and tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery, including CNC and coring machines, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform quality checks on products coming off the machines to ensure they meet required standards.
- Conduct visual inspections of products to identify defects or irregularities.
- Use micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools daily to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Follow work orders, schematics, and light blueprints to produce parts according to specifications.
- Assist in troubleshooting machines when products do not meet quality grade or tolerance requirements.
- Package finished products as needed, ensuring correct labeling and handling.
- Complete light documentation related to production, quality checks, and measurements.
- Apply basic math skills to interpret dimensions, tolerances, and measurements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures.
- Use hand tools and other basic production tools to support general production tasks.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and timelines.
Essential Skills
- Basic math skills with a solid understanding of dimensions and tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail when inspecting and measuring products.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to use micrometers and calipers or willingness to learn their operation.
- Comfort working with measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers, on a daily basis.
- Capability to follow work orders, schematics, and light blueprints accurately.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment (6 months preferred but not required).
- Ability to perform visual inspections and identify defects in products.
- Willingness and ability to assist with basic troubleshooting of machines when needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in production or general manufacturing environments.
- Experience in assembly or general production work.
- Experience with hand tools and basic mechanical tasks.
- Exposure to cabinet making, plastics, or similar hands-on work environments.
- Familiarity with machine operation and general production processes.
- Comfort working with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers, even at a basic level.
- Ability to work safely and consistently in a manufacturing setting.

Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
