Job Title: Delivery Driver – Medical Supplies
Job Description
This role focuses on safely delivering medical supplies from a warehouse to patients’ homes while providing courteous, customer-focused service. You will load and unload products, operate a delivery van, use a handheld scanner to process orders, and perform basic equipment installations using hand tools. The position requires frequent heavy lifting and a strong commitment to safe driving and professional interaction with patients in their homes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver medical supplies from the warehouse to patients’ homes in a timely, safe, and professional manner.
- Provide courteous, customer-focused service during all client interactions at their residences.
- Load and unload medical supplies, consistently lifting up to 85 lbs and frequently lifting up to 100 lbs.
- Operate a delivery van for heavy delivery driving; no CDL is required.
- Drive safely at all times, following traffic laws and company safety standards.
- Use a handheld scanner to process orders accurately at the warehouse and at delivery locations.
- Verify delivery information, confirm receipt with patients, and ensure accurate documentation of each order.
- Perform basic equipment installations at patient homes using hand tools, following provided instructions and safety guidelines.
- Support basic inventory handling activities such as loading, organizing, and tracking products as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and dispatch to resolve delivery issues and ensure efficient route completion.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving, such as working with delivery vans, box trucks, or similar vehicles.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently lift up to 85 lbs and frequently lift up to 100 lbs.
- Strong safe-driving record and commitment to following all traffic and safety regulations.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with clients in their homes.
- Ability to use a handheld scanner or similar device to process and track orders accurately.
- Capability to perform basic equipment installations using common hand tools.
- Experience with loading and unloading vehicles in a warehouse or delivery environment.
- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to complete assigned routes and tasks within scheduled timeframes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a delivery driver for organizations such as parcel services, courier companies, or similar roles is highly relevant.
- Experience in truck driving, box truck operation, or general delivery driving.
- Exposure to inventory handling, including loading, unloading, and basic stock organization.
- Experience using forklifts or working in construction or warehouse environments is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Class A CDL or CDL requirements is a plus, although a CDL is not required for this role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while on the road.

Work Environment
This is a full-time position with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing a consistent daytime work routine. There is potential for on-call opportunities for individuals who perform well and seek additional responsibility. You will work primarily on the road operating a delivery van, traveling between the warehouse and patients’ homes, and spending time in the warehouse to load, unload, and scan orders. The role involves frequent heavy lifting and physical activity, as well as the use of hand tools and scanning equipment. The environment suits candidates who enjoy being active, working independently on the road, and applying prior experience from roles such as delivery drivers for parcel and package delivery services.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Asheville, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
