Job Title: Telehealth Nurse
Job Description
The Telehealth Nurse role involves counseling and educating new and existing patients on specialty drug therapies. You will ensure adherence to contracted and accrediting regulations as indicated by drug specifications. This position requires the completion of thorough and accurate documentation, utilizing good documentation practices and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Additionally, you will discuss potential and current side effects with patients to educate them about treatment alternatives and facilitate ongoing therapy adherence. Identifying and reporting adverse events and product complaints to the manufacturer, FDA, or other governing authorities is also a key aspect of this role.
Responsibilities
- Counsel and educate patients on specialty drug therapies.
- Ensure adherence to contracted and accrediting regulations as indicated by drug specifications.
- Complete thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with industry standards.
- Discuss side effects with patients to educate them on treatment alternatives.
- Facilitate ongoing therapy adherence.
- Identify and report adverse events and product complaints to the manufacturer, FDA, or other governing authorities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing or accredited nursing diploma
- Registered Nurse with current unrestricted compact state license or primary NC licensure
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with 3-5 years of post-graduate experience in pharmacy operations and patient care
- 5 or more years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of acute inpatient care preferred
- Ability to obtain licensing in all states and U.S. territories serviced within 3 months of employment
- Proficient computer skills including email, word processing, spreadsheet, and web-based programs
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Experience with motivational interviewing
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret practice standards, professional journals, technical procedures, and government standards and regulations
Work Environment
The work environment is structured around regular working hours from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, with a one-hour lunch break. You must possess a valid North Carolina multi-state nursing license with no restrictions. The role involves collaborating with a large healthcare leader dedicated to patient care and access.
