Description
The PM must bring strong domain experience in U.S. banking regulatory reporting and demonstrate disciplined execution using a formal Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC). The role requires hands on administration of the project in Clarity PPM and ownership of weekly and monthly project reporting. This role will operate in a highly regulated, deadline driven environment and will partner closely with an external Vendor consulting team along with internal Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Data, Technology, and Compliance teams. Ensure adherence to quality standards and established policies and processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: strong written and oral communication skills
1. Provide leadership in managing multiple and/or large-scale high-risk projects by facilitating project charter, vision/objectives, financials, scope, metrics, quality, schedule, resourcing, vendor management, dependencies, risks, status reporting, stakeholder engagement, business readiness/organizational change management, value realization necessary to deliver specified requirements, objectives and value.
2. Ensure smooth project progression by effectively defining/managing the project plan, phase gate reviews, change requests and stakeholder status reporting. Ensure documentation at all phases.
3. Provide leadership, vision and direction for both project team and business partners while working cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes and ensure appropriate and professional communication among stakeholders.
4. Manage projects throughout the project lifecycle. Evaluate progress and quality, manage issue resolution process and take corrective action, as necessary.
5. Ensure adherence to Risk and other Corporate policies and requirements.
6. Proactively develop innovative approaches, risk mitigation strategies and quality control and assist in continuous improvement.
7. Mentor, coach and set direction for team members and vendor project managers/analysts. Provide feedback to group managers regarding the work performance of members.
8. Prior experience working with regulators, auditors, or regulatory remediation efforts is strongly preferred.
9. Provide periodic, comprehensive, project status reporting as needed (2x per month): into the Program and portfolio review sessions as needed.
10. Primary POC for the project into the Program Mgmt. team (attends all program leadership meetings, governing body meetings), & presents projects status in program sessions
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum 8–10 years of Project Management experience, with a strong track record in regulatory or financial reporting initiatives
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Proven use of a formal PMLC, including:
o Project initiation and chartering
o Integrated planning and scheduling
o Risk, issue, dependency, and change management
o Execution, monitoring, and controlled closure
• Demonstrated experience managing cross functional, multi workstream initiatives

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
