We are seeking a dedicated Production Technician to join our team in assembling and testing industrial air compressor systems. This role involves equipment assembly, quality inspections, troubleshooting, shipment preparation, and supporting continuous product improvements. The ideal candidate enjoys working with mechanical and electrical systems, takes pride in quality workmanship, and thrives in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Assemble industrial air compressor systems according to specifications and work instructions.
- Perform electrical wiring, component installation, and voltage conversions.
- Conduct final inspections and functional testing to ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly or performance issues.
- Prepare finished equipment for shipment, including packaging and palletizing.
- Maintain accurate production, inspection, and testing documentation.
- Collaborate with service, quality, and warehouse teams to improve products and processes.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements to maintain a safe workplace.
- 1+ year of mechanical and/or electrical assembly, maintenance, or repair experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Windows.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift, move, and work with industrial equipment safely.
- Technical certification in electrical, mechanical, industrial maintenance, or pneumatics.
- Experience assembling or servicing industrial air compressors.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and manufacturing best practices.
- Experience with quality inspections and production documentation.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.25 - $24.25/hr.
