Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer


Job Description

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will take on an active role working directly with project managers and clients, for the design of plumbing, pumping, and HVAC systems.


Responsibilities

  • Design and perform calculations for buildings' mechanical systems.
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and construction estimates.
  • Review drawings and recommend necessary changes.
  • Attend meetings and interact with clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing mechanical systems (Buildings: HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and water & sewer pumping systems).
  • Preferred 4-5+ years of experience.
  • EIT or PE certifications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills (English/Spanish preferred).
  • Computer skills required, with the ability to use AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office applications such as spreadsheets, databases, and engineering software.
