Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead mid to large capital power projects, with a strong focus on combined cycle power plants. The ideal candidate will manage projects involving multiple engineering disciplines and vendor coordination from inception through start-up and commissioning. The role involves monitoring, reporting, and controlling project costs and schedules across all phases.
Responsibilities
- Execute all aspects of the project, including staff management, strategic leadership, and technical operations.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met.
- Manage and execute work with overseas High Value Engineering (HVE) offices.
- Develop and implement administrative, technical, and corporate procedures for project success.
- Direct and manage project personnel, supporting planning, scheduling, and design quality.
- Ensure compliance with schedule, budget, scope, and quality deliverables.
- Build relationships and coordinate with clients and project personnel, ensuring requirements are met.
- Organize and implement project management and corporate quality systems.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all commercial, technical, and financial correspondence.
- Prepare and evaluate monthly progress reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Process invoices timely and accurately, liaising with accounting on outstanding invoices.
- Champion Management of Change by identifying and processing ECNs promptly.
- Develop new business opportunities and participate in business development meetings.
- Plan and identify tasks, address potential problems, and propose solutions.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels, actively recruiting and training as necessary.
- Develop, coach, and track employee skill levels in technical and management areas.
- Develop project proposals, scopes of work, and budgets.
- Extensive project management experience in power generation and power plant projects.
- Proficient in engineering, procurement, construction, and construction management.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- 15 to 20 years of experience in power projects, particularly combined cycle.
- At least 8-10 years as a Project Manager.
- Experience managing projects ranging from small to mid-cap to large cap standalone projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination and client/vendor communication.
- Organized, self-directed, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a team environment.
- Ability to travel and work in both office and field environments.
- Experience in developing and mentoring a large, high-performing cross-functional team.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
