Job Title: Electronics Test Technician


Job Description

Take direction from electrical and mechanical engineers and the production department for building electromechanical components and systems.


Responsibilities

  • Build electromechanical components and systems as directed by engineers.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics for troubleshooting and testing.
  • Solder and rework boards and harnesses/cables.
  • Create test harnesses and cables.
  • Assemble test setups with provided input and guidance.
  • Support engineers with various tasks related to the project.

Essential Skills

  • Soldering
  • Electronics
  • Troubleshooting
  • PCB
  • IPC certification in soldering
  • Good troubleshooting skills of electronic motor drives, power converters, and analog circuits

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on capability to build and possibly design test fixtures
  • Familiarity with Altium, SolidWorks, and/or NX is ideal
  • Associates' degree or 10+ years of experience
  • IPC certification preferred

Work Environment

This position is based out of Gastonia, NC. The business segment designs and manufactures complex motion control components, systems, and subsystems for specialized defense, commercial aerospace, and general industrial applications. The work environment is R&D oriented, providing opportunities for long-term employment beyond the current project.
