Job Title: Machine Operator (Day & Night Shifts Available)
Pay: $20–$22/hour
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team on either day or night shifts. In this role, you will set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing equipment while ensuring product quality and accurate production reporting. You’ll play a key role in maintaining efficient operations, performing routine maintenance, and upholding safety standards in a fast-paced production environment.
Shift Availability
- Day Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Night Shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
- (12-hour shifts; schedule may vary based on production needs)
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor machinery according to production specifications.
- Ensure equipment runs efficiently and safely; make adjustments as needed.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Conduct quality inspections during and after production to ensure standards are met.
- Identify, document, and report defects or inconsistencies.
- Use measuring tools (tape measure, gauges, etc.) and hand tools to verify product specifications.
- Accurately record production output, downtime, and quality metrics in Microsoft Excel.
- Maintain clear logs of machine performance, maintenance, and production data.
- Generate daily and weekly production/quality reports.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Collaborate with team members and support production goals as needed.
Required Skills
- Experience operating manufacturing or production machinery.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot basic issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting.
- Ability to use measuring tools and hand tools accurately.
- Capability to track and document production metrics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Flexibility to work day or overnight shifts.
