Job Title: HR Generalist
Job Description
The HR Generalist supports core human resources operations with a strong focus on HR data integrity, job description management, and onboarding coordination. This role reconciles data across HR systems and budget files, partners closely with managers at all levels, and ensures accurate, timely HR information to support organizational planning and employee lifecycle processes.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile data between HR systems and Excel or budget files to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Identify discrepancies in HR data, validate records, and maintain data integrity across all platforms.
- Develop detailed, itemized action plans to correct, update, and clean up HR data.
- Manage the job description process in collaboration with managers, ensuring content is complete, accurate, and aligned with organizational standards.
- Follow up with managers on recruitment stages to track progress and support timely hiring decisions.
- Support pre-onboarding activities, including coordination of documentation and preparation of employee records.
- Coordinate onboarding processes to help new hires transition smoothly into the organization.
- Collaborate with managers and stakeholders across the organization to address HR data and process needs.
- Apply a solid understanding of HR data to support audits, headcount planning, and related HR reporting.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Skills
- Strong HR systems experience with the ability to navigate, reconcile, and maintain HR data across multiple platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills, including working with complex spreadsheets, data analysis, and reporting.
- Solid understanding of HR data concepts, including employee records, headcount, and organizational structures.
- High attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret data with minimal guidance.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with managers at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in core human resources activities such as employee relations and onboarding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with HR data audits, budget files, or headcount planning.
- Prior experience in job description creation or participation in job architecture projects.
- Familiarity with HR shared services or HRSSC environments and processes.
- Experienceee in human resources, including exposure to employee relations and HR operations.
Work Environment
This is an on-site role that requires regular presence at the workplace to collaborate closely with managers and HR colleagues. The HR Generalist works extensively with HR systems and Excel-based budget or planning files in a professional office environment. The position operates in a fast-paced setting where priorities may shift, and responsiveness, accuracy, and strong communication are essential.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
