Job Title: Electrical Engineer (PE)


Job Description

We are seeking a talented Licensed Electrical Engineer who thrives not only in designing full electrical systems, including power, lighting, and fire alarm for large, complex manufacturing facility buildings but also values strong mentorship and joining a firm that meticulously evaluates each project before engagement. Our environment is crafted to avoid overwhelming new engineers, with a focus on nurturing through strong mentorship. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and experience in power distribution, load flow analysis, low voltage, and lighting design.


Responsibilities

  • Spearhead electrical design projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and integrating power, lighting, and fire alarm systems seamlessly.
  • Apply an in-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code to craft designs that meet the utmost safety and quality benchmarks.
  • Design robust power distribution systems, skilled in both low and medium voltage applications, tailored to the specific needs of cutting-edge manufacturing plants.
  • Optimize power distribution through precise load flow analysis, enhancing energy efficiency.
  • Craft lighting solutions that boost safety, productivity, and energy conservation.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary projects, offering your electrical engineering expertise to forge comprehensive solutions.
  • Utilize leading software like Easy Power, REVIT, and AutoCAD for sophisticated modeling and simulation.
  • Directly collaborate with clients to align our electrical solutions with their unique objectives.

Essential Skills

  • Professional Engineering License (PE).
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, particularly in the food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods sectors.
  • Strong grasp of the NEC, ensuring compliance in all designs.
  • Skilled in low and medium voltage systems.
  • Demonstrated ability in optimizing electrical systems through load flow analysis.
  • Proficiency in industrial lighting solutions.
  • Experience in integrated facilities design.
  • Proficiency in Easy Power, REVIT, and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel for installations, meetings, training, and industry events.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in MEP Project Management and electrical building systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Work Environment

Office located in RTP, with simplistic flex scheduling and accommodations. The team comprises accomplished professionals who have migrated from other firms, contributing to a dynamic and evolving company.
