Job Title: Phlebotomist
Job Description
Join a dynamic team as a Phlebotomist where you will provide exceptional customer service and perform skilled specimen collections. This role involves working with adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced IOP office environment. The position may start as temporary with the potential to become permanent.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and be the face of the company.
- Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and more.
- Accurately enter patient information into the system in a timely manner.
- Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
- Maintain logs for patient and specimen information.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
- Travel to additional sites when required.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood draw techniques.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently.
- Experience in specimen collection and processing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to handle a high volume of patients professionally.
Work Environment
The work environment is within an IOP account, dealing with 20-25 patients per day. Mornings are particularly busy, while afternoons are less hectic. The role requires working on-site Monday and Tuesday from 8am to 12pm, and Wednesday and Thursday from 8am to 3pm.
