We are in search of an On-Site Support Lead to join our Air Force Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) program . As an On-Site Support Lead, you will serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for the Space Force's base operations and technical teams. The On-Site Support Lead will interface daily with multiple system owners, engineers and technical teams to ensure that Customer-specific requirements are translated into solutions that meet the Customer's mission needs. This position is responsible for providing expertise and guidance for base operations as well as support for LAN infrastructure and system modernization. The position requires both technical, hands-on networking skills as well as strong leadership and communication. The On-Site Support Lead will also support deployment of modernized IT capabilities and be responsible for overseeing the transformation of Leidos modernized enterprise solutions into base operations.



Qualified candidates will have a strong technical background sufficient to understand the Government's requirements, and work closely with the Government and Leidos leadership to facilitate effective planning and accomplishment of mission objectives in a timely manner.



In addition to developing solutions, you will help the Government customer understand the value and benefits of the Leidos solution, explain technical capabilities, features and transformation strategies and engage in proof of concepts.





Primary Responsibilities:
  • Engage the client, where applicable, in the base operations process to ensure mission requirements are met
  • Review new and existing SOPs for compliance with mission and operations requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to the Space Force Customer and Leidos operations teams.
  • Document and communicate requirements to the Leidos engineering team.
  • Participate in testing to ensure requirements are adequately met.
  • Facilitate training of the operations team on newly deployed equipment.
  • Attend team lead sessions and act as a conduit with the program leadership team
  • Support the project lifecycle for infrastructure and technology changes, with emphasis on operational impacts
  • Collaborate using information and knowledge sharing networks and professional relationships to achieve common goals
  • Lead a team of Leidos employees and sub-contractors. Responsible for defining the team's direction and ensuring that individual and team goals align with the organization and customer mission.
  • Provide guidance, support, and resources to help team members succeed and feel motivated to contribute their best work.
  • Foster an environment of employee growth and development, promoting continuous learning and provide opportunities for skill enhancement.
  • Responsible for team staffing activities, as well as addressing performance concerns, resolving disputes or disagreements within the team.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or a closely related field and at least 8+ years of prior network engineering experience or Masters with at least 6+ years of prior network engineering experience.
  • Additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • Experience leading information systems and network operations teams
  • Must have strong problem-solving, analytical, communication and people skills
  • Demonstrate poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations.
  • Must have experience in operation of large communications networks.
  • Experience in analysis and the ability to generate reports using various tools is required.
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance and be a US Citizen.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain one of the following certifications within 60 days:
  • SecurityX / CASP+
  • CCNA
  • CCNP Security
  • CCSP
  • GCED
  • GCIA
  • GCLD
  • GDSA
  • GFACT
Preferred Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience with an Air Force or Space Force Customer, and/or prior military experience
  • Prior technical roles within similar organizations with growing duties and responsibilities


Clearance Required:
  • Must be a US Citizen and have at a minimum a Secret clearance.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
