Job Title: Journeyman Electrician
Job Description
This long-term opportunity is a 3–5 year project supporting the construction and maintenance of a large-scale, mission-critical data center in Ellendale, ND. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will focus on power distribution and electrical infrastructure, working full-time, 12-hour shifts from Monday to Friday. You will use your field experience and technical knowledge to install, maintain, and troubleshoot complex electrical systems in a commercial and industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems and electrical infrastructure in a large-scale data center environment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction drawings to plan and execute electrical installations.
- Run and bend conduit (including EMT) to specified measurements and layouts for commercial and industrial applications.
- Pull, route, and secure electrical wiring and cable according to code and project specifications.
- Install and terminate panels, switch panels, lighting systems, switches, and related electrical components.
- Perform low voltage and medium voltage work as required for data center operations and support systems.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs on installed systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Support industrial electrical wiring, installation, and repair tasks, including conduit bending, pipe bending, and cable installation.
- Follow all safety procedures and industry standards while working on an active construction site and in varying weather conditions.
- Collaborate with other electricians and construction trades to complete project milestones on schedule.
Essential Skills
- Active Journeyman or Master Electrician license, with eligibility for reciprocity in North Dakota from one of the following states: MN, SD, IA, AK, AR, CO, ID, ME, MT, NE, NH, UT, or WY.
- Proven experience in electrical work within commercial or industrial construction environments.
- Hands-on experience with conduit installation and bending, including EMT.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction drawings.
- Demonstrated skills in electrical wiring, cable installation, and power distribution systems.
- Experience installing and terminating panels, switch panels, lighting, and switches.
- Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on complex systems.
- Experience with low voltage and medium voltage electrical systems.
- Experience in industrial electrical wiring, installation, repair, conduit bending, pulling wire, and pipe bending.
- Capability to work 12-hour shifts (6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.), Monday through Friday, on a long-term project.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Strong preference for experience working on data center projects or other mission-critical facilities.
- Familiarity with commercial construction practices and commercial electrical installations.
- Knowledge of lighting systems, transistors, and electrical schema.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented construction environment.
- Comfort working in outdoor conditions, including cold weather, while maintaining safety and productivity.

Work Environment
The position is based on a data center construction site in Ellendale, ND, with work performed primarily on site. You will work 12-hour shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The role involves exposure to outdoor conditions, including North Dakota winter weather, although much of the work will be performed under cover or within the facility structure as it progresses. You will work in an active commercial and industrial construction environment using typical electrical tools and equipment for conduit work, wiring, terminations, and troubleshooting. Appropriate workwear and personal protective equipment are required to ensure safety and comfort in varying site and weather conditions.Experience
