Job Description
The primary function of this position is to prepare, mix, and apply paint coatings to steel door frames and door skins, ensuring a high-quality finish. The role involves washing and wiping steel door frames, using hand tools and power tools for preparation, and taping parts to be painted.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, mix, and apply paint coatings to steel door frames and door skins.
- Wash and wipe steel door frames to be painted.
- Use hand tools and power tools to prepare frames for painting.
- Tape parts to be painted.
- Operate forklift, overhead crane, and scissor lift.
- Learn painting techniques to assist the painter when required.
- Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to hazardous materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Complete tasks according to the planned schedule.
- Assist other departments when needed.
- Ability to paint, spray, mix, and prime.
- Proficiency in paint prep, spray, blast, and sandblasting.
- 1 year of painting experience is preferred.
- Experience with overhead crane operation is a plus.
- Experience with paint finishing is desirable.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a shop with about 15 team members. The facility is well-lit and clean, focusing on the manufacturing of aviation and large agricultural garage doors. The shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 4:00pm, with occasional work planned on Fridays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WEST FARGO, ND.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
