Job Description
The Director of Logistics for Animal Health is a position which will focus on creating and leading the current distribution team and set the future vision and guidance of the logistics operations. This role is based in the US, Omaha, NE facility and is primarily a domestic role. The logistics position is comprised of Distribution, Transportation, Compliance, Manufacturing, Commercial and Order Fulfillment. This position is heavily weighted to supporting a best-in-class Safety and Environmental culture along with the Ways of Working and Inclusion mindset. This strategic leadership role will be tasked with improving and advancing the most efficient transportation strategy while delivering best in class quality performance. Compliance to both regulatory and company rules and regulations is required and includes several Federal and State agencies like FDA, USDA, TSA, DEA and other regulatory bodies. The position will also help set the future automation performance, metric reporting and customer satisfaction of the supply chain. Ideal candidate will have a passion for open mindfulness, innovation and continuous improvement. it is imperative that the candidate has the ability to work across different departments, manufacturing sites, subsidiaries and global countries.
In summary, this role is for a dynamic leader with expert knowledge that can set both short term and long-term goals and plans and communicate a proven track record of excellent performance.

Required Education:
- BS Degree required
- Comprehensive understanding of distribution and transportation systems, and processes. 10 years' experience required in Pharma Distribution and logistics.
- Validated experience of managing 25-100 work teams with full performance ownership.
- Proven record of managing supervisors/Leads.
- Subject Matter Expert on SAP, All word applications, TMS Systems
- Experience in working with and handling conversations with TSA, FDA, USDA, VAWD, DEA.
- Experience with Project Management Class(es)/Certification
- Yellow Belt or equivalent Process Improvement
- Exhibited strong leadership skills in running meetings, projects, tier-based colleague meeting's
- Best in class safety and environmental performance and Ways of Working Inclusion skills.
- Significant logistics operational experience with subject matter expert level knowledge across the supply chain
- Strong preference for experience in a fast-paced Animal Health/Human Biological and Pharma D.C.
- Demonstrated, deep understanding of end to end distribution and logistics processes, especially on how that directly impacts our animal health customers.
- Experience in deploying and reporting KPIs with leading indicators
- Working knowledge of import / export operations
- Multi Shift Management Experience
- Strong communication, presentation, decision making and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a global, matrix organization
- Strong Mid Term Planning Fence
