Capital Expansion - Project Manager

**This role is a Capital Expansion Project Management role - 50% percent in Omaha Nebraska & 50% in Middlebury Indiana. Working on a 12-18 Month Project**

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager based out of Omaha, NE to oversee Global Capex management and PMO initiatives. The role involves leading the planning, execution, and closure of a significant $70 million project spanning two locations, with a focus on schedule-driven delivery and collaboration with various teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and initiation phase of technical projects, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and costs in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Conduct thorough project kick-off meetings to ensure alignment on project goals, roles, and responsibilities.
• Identify project resource requirements, including personnel, equipment, and materials, and allocate resources effectively to ensure project success.
• Manage a project team of 10 engineers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Conduct regular status meetings and project reviews to keep stakeholders informed and address any concerns.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including internal teams and vendors.
• Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables, addressing stakeholder feedback and concerns promptly.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct stage gate reviews with all internal and external stakeholders to implement project controls.
• Identify potential risks and dependencies associated with technical projects and develop risk management plans.
• Monitor project risks and issues, implement risk mitigation strategies, and escalate critical issues to senior management as needed.
• Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and best practices.

Essential Skills

• Project management experience, particularly in capex projects.
• Proven ability to manage at least two capex projects of $50 million or more.
• Experience in building processes and educating clients on project management planning and execution.
• Strong project coordination skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with resource allocation and management.
• Involvement in projects from initiation to closure, providing guidance throughout.
• Ability to conduct thorough project kick-off meetings and ensure alignment on project goals.

Work Environment

This role is fully onsite in Omaha, NE with approximately 50% travel to Middlebury, Indiana.

The Project Manager will work closely with the PMO office, executive team, and client teams to ensure project completion. The work environment is collaborative, requiring strong communication and leadership skills to manage various stakeholders and team members.
