Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide tactical HR support and partner with employees and management in various human resource areas.
Responsibilities
- Provide general HR support in recruiting, onboarding, policy adherence, employee relations, and training.
- Communicate human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations to employees and management.
- Support HRBPs with daily activities and manage programs and projects.
- Lead employee engagement activities and create presentations on various topics.
- Research, evaluate, and propose personnel programs and policies to enhance company culture and engagement.
- Ensure adherence to processes and practices, identify efficiencies, and develop solutions.
- Assist in HR projects including benefits enrollment, compensation surveys, performance management, and talent assessments.
- Participate and lead new hire onboarding ensuring timely completion of paperwork.
- Provide payroll support including timecard questions, attendance management, and time-off requests.
- Assist in planning company events such as wellness programs, culture events, and team-building exercises.
- Manage employee separation processes and analyze data to enhance the employee experience.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or 5+ years of progressive HR experience/training.
- Proficiency in Excel for basic skills and tracking.
- Familiarity with UKG software (training available).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
- Ability to develop effective relationships within and outside the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with follow-through and ownership abilities.
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- SHRM certification (PHR or SPHR) preferred.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
Work Environment
Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with consistent and regular attendance required. The position offers a hybrid work environment with remote work on Fridays and flexibility as needed. The role supports a corporate team and manufacturing operations, primarily based in Omaha, with some remote roles.
Compensation:$36.05
