Heavy Equipment Operator - $25-$32 per hour!
Description:

A reputable company is hiring Heavy Equipment Operators to support large commercial construction projects in Omaha. In this role, you will operate a variety of heavy equipment while contributing to earthwork, grading, and excavation activities. You’ll play a key role in maintaining safe and efficient jobsite operations, with opportunities to expand your skill set across multiple types of equipment and large-scale projects.
Responsibilities:
• Operate heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, tractors and pans, CAT 627 belly scrapers, track loaders, motor graders, haul trucks, and loaders.
• Perform excavation, trenching, grading, and earthwork activities in line with project specifications.
• Support site grading operations, including cut and fill work, to prepare construction sites.
• Load and move materials safely and efficiently across the jobsite.
• Use GPS systems and site controls to maintain accurate grades and alignments.
• Inspect equipment before and after use, reporting maintenance needs or issues.
Essential Skills:
• 3+ years of heavy equipment operation experience in construction or civil site work.
• Proficiency operating core equipment such as dozers, excavators, tractors/pans, and scrapers.
• Experience with grading, excavation, trenching, and earthwork operations.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently on active commercial jobsites.
• Familiarity with GPS-guided equipment or willingness to learn.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience operating CAT 627 belly scrapers or similar equipment is a plus.
• Familiarity with farming or agricultural equipment operation preferred.
• Experience with loaders, track loaders, skid steers, and motor graders.
• Exposure to civil site work including trenching, fine grading, and track hoe operation.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
