Job Description
The Line Mechanic supports aerosol manufacturing production lines by performing maintenance, repairs, and daily support on filling and packaging equipment. This role focuses on keeping machines running safely and efficiently while complying with cGMP standards and established safety policies.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on maintenance support to aerosol manufacturing production lines to ensure consistent, efficient operation.
- Perform mechanical repairs on machines and equipment used for filling, crimping, aerosolizing, capping, and packaging aerosol products.
- Carry out preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to quickly identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Support daily production needs by responding to equipment issues and performing adjustments as required.
- Perform product changeovers on filling and packaging equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work order requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to guide maintenance and repair work.
- Follow established job safety practices, policies, and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives.
- Apply current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) as they relate to equipment operation and maintenance in a production environment.
- Document maintenance activities as required to support compliance and continuous improvement.
- Experience or training in mechanical maintenance or repair, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to perform troubleshooting and repair on mechanical systems.
- Basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic systems used in industrial equipment.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints and mechanical schematics.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices for production machinery.
- Understanding of cGMP compliance as it relates to production requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to follow SOPs and work orders for product changeovers and maintenance tasks.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
- Technical school education or equivalent technical training is acceptable and considered beneficial.
- Entry-level candidates with relevant technical education or hands-on mechanical aptitude are welcome.
- Previous experience supporting filling, crimping, aerosolizing, capping, or packaging equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively across different shifts and collaborate with production teams.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment, procedures, and standards.

The environment emphasizes strict adherence to safety practices, plant policies, SOPs, and cGMP standards, with frequent hands-on work on production lines and equipment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
