Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Building Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is primarily office-based with opportunities for site visits. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting building automation and control systems throughout the full project lifecycle—from turnover to closeout.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate inproject turnover meetingswith Sales and Project Management to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Interpretcontract documents, specifications, and building standardsto develop control system designs.
  • Create comprehensivecontrols packages, including device selection, controller configuration, and wiring diagrams.
  • Provideengineering supportto field teams during installation and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams includingproject managers, electricians, and other tradesto ensure successful project execution.
  • Conductsite visitsto assess existing systems and incorporate findings into design.
  • Draft and manageRequests for Information (RFIs)and coordinate with contractors and engineers of record.
  • Manage time effectively to stay withinproject budgeted hoursas defined by the sales quote.
  • Prepare and deliveras-built documentationand closeout packages to clients upon project completion.
  • Attend and contribute toproject meetingsthroughout the lifecycle to ensure alignment and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in controls engineering, building automation, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and schematics.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems, control devices, and industry standards is a plus.
Compensation:$52.88
