Job Title: Construction Foreman
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to oversee and manage on-site construction projects. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure safety, efficiency, and quality in all aspects of the construction process.
Responsibilities
- Manage the safety protocols on site to ensure a secure working environment for all team members.
- Coordinate and supervise construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Implement and oversee change orders and modifications to project plans.
- Read and interpret blueprints to guide construction projects accurately.
- Prepare and manage two-week look ahead schedules to plan and anticipate project needs.
- Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSA's) to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure as-built documents are accurate and reflect completed work.
- Lead and manage a team of up to 10 workers, fostering a collaborative and productive work atmosphere.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in concrete and masonry work.
- Expertise in managing change orders.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in preparing two-week look ahead schedules.
- Familiarity with conducting Job Safety Analyses (JSA's).
- Knowledge of as-built documentation processes.
Work Environment
This is an on-site position within a growing firm that has a heavy backlog of work. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, focusing on teamwork and safety. Dress code is casual, appropriate for construction settings.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morristown, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
