Job Title: Lead Structural Design Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to undertake heavy foundation and structural steel design. The role involves designing pipe racks and understanding loads, particularly in nuclear power plant settings. You will work on structural and civil design projects, focusing on foundations for tanks and other relatively small structures.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze heavy foundations and structural steel components.
- Conduct structural and civil design for nuclear power plants.
- Perform structural calculations and design studies using STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, and other industry-standard software.
- Develop engineering reports, studies, specifications, and design drawings.
- Review and interpret relevant codes, design documents, specifications, and construction documents.
- Collaborate with multi-discipline engineers and designers to ensure project success.
- Participate in emission control projects involving power plant ductwork and heavy industrial design.
Essential Skills
- 8+ years of experience in structural engineering.
- Experience in nuclear civil/structural design engineering.
- Proficiency with structural calculations and design studies.
- Familiarity with industry-standard engineering software such as STAAD Pro, ANSYS, and Mathcad.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multi-discipline teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a Structural focus.
- Experience with seismic analysis and design of structures for nuclear power plants.
- Proficiency in AutoDesk Advance Steel.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in any state within the US, with the ability to obtain additional licenses.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
