Location: Byram, NJ
Pay: $21/hour ; Overtime: $31.50/hour
Job Description
The Shipping / Receiving Associate is responsible for ensuring the accurate packing, labeling, and scheduling of shipments according to specifications. The role involves handling incoming materials, maintaining organization of parts and packaging materials, and performing inventory counts and reconciliations. The associate will also ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, and customer requirements while supporting additional shipping, packaging, and material handling tasks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare orders for shipment by packing and labeling parts per specifications.
- Schedule shipments and generate shipping documents per DOT, IATA, and customer requirements.
- Receive incoming materials and distribute parts to production areas.
- Maintain organization of parts and packaging materials.
- Perform inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Alert purchasing when supplies require replenishment.
- Enter shipping and receiving data into internal business systems.
- Follow ISO 9001 policies and internal procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of processed information.
- Support additional shipping, packaging, and material handling tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, squat, and lift throughout shift.
- Ability to work extended schedules and overtime when required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proficiency in handling shipping and receiving systems.
- Experience in aerospace or logistics is a plus.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Netcong, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
