Job Description

As a Survey CAD Project Manager, you will lead and manage construction layout and stakeout projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will be responsible for generating precise stakeout data for construction layout and creating detailed CAD drawings using Civil 3D for various purposes including site plans, grading plans, and utility layouts.

Responsibilities

• Manage field crews and client relations.
• Lead and oversee construction stakeout projects.
• Prepare stakeout data for construction layouts.
• Create detailed CAD drawings using Civil 3D for construction layout and stakeout purposes.
• Collaborate closely with surveyors, technicians, project coordinators, and support staff to ensure accuracy and timely project completion.
• Perform quality control checks on drawings and stakeout data to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for CAD software and equipment.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all project drawings, stakeout data, and related documentation.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of project management experience in construction layout projects.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Expertise in land surveying and drafting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a Survey CAD Technician on construction layout projects.
• Knowledge of Leica Software, including Total Stations and GPS.

Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based, with potential for hybrid flexibility once the candidate is comfortable with the standard operating rhythm. The office consists of approximately 30 staff members, including surveyors, technicians, and administrative personnel. The company utilizes state-of-the-art equipment such as robotic total stations, reflectorless total stations, and GPS receivers to ensure precise results.
