Job Title: Service Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Service Engineer with a focus on the Needle Grinder machine, which is at the forefront of our product portfolio. This role involves assisting with design needs, conducting customer-facing demonstrations, and managing run-offs and installations worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and emails from customers regarding technical questions about machines and capabilities.
• Engage in R&D work by updating machines beyond customer requests using CAD software to create upgrades.
• Oversee projects, including component purchasing and machine assembly.

Essential Skills

• Machining and electromechanical design experience.
• Proficiency in CAD design and 3D modeling, particularly SolidWorks.
• Troubleshooting abilities and field service experience.
• Degree in Engineering.
• Machining experience, including metal working with milling/lathe.
• Customer-facing experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

This office-based engineering role requires splitting time between desk work, interacting with customers, and shop floor activities for equipment troubleshooting. The position requires approximately 20% travel to customer locations for installations, trainings, and demonstrations.
