Desktop Platform Engineer

***Must work onsite 3 days a week in NJ

Our client is looking for a Windows Desktop Engineer (10, 11) that can work a hybrid schedule (3 days a week onsite in NJ). This person must have extensive knowledge and applied on the job experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, as well as packaging and software deployment technologies (such as Flexera AdminStudio), virtualization, and telemetry tools such as splunk or aternity. This position will also require understanding of a dispersed Branch Office technical environment, with an understanding of networking tools and terminology.

·      Desktop Platform Engineering resource assigned with design and implementation of next generation desktop platform within the firm.

·       This person must have extensive knowledge and applied on the job experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, as well as packaging technologies, virtualization, and telemetry tools.

·       This position will also require understanding of a dispersed Branch Office technical environment, with an understanding of networking tools and terminology.

·      Experience with windows imaging technologies, specifically Microsoft Configuration Manager/SCCM, is required. Understanding of release management workflows and toolsets is highly desired.

Extensive knowledge and applied experience with:

• Visual Studio, .NET C#, Windows Form, Windows Service

• Flexera AdminStudio

• Windows OS environment (Windows 10, 11)

• Microsoft WMI

• SCCM/Microsoft Configuration Manager

• Scripting languages; VbScript, Powershell

• Telemetry tools; Splunk, Aternity
